Job Summary:

Primary Function 

This role will be responsible for the independent execution of an integrated marketing plan that contributes to the growth of the respective commercial or regional businesses. They will take ownership of the assigned marketing initiatives, work cross-functionally and support multiple stakeholders in the delivery of highly effective marketing programs based on deep stakeholder understanding to help deliver the business's annual objectives and plans. 

Working Relationships: 

Reports to Senior Marketing Manager, CU or Region 

  • Supervises: N/A; provides guidance to the Marketing Associate 

  • Peers: Commercial Unit Leaders, Sales, Marketing Managers, Operations, Digital Growth Marketing, Marketing Communications, Technical Integrity, Legal, SME’s and external vendors 

Dimensions:

Independently manages the general timeline(s) for each project/campaign, working in conjunction with key stakeholders and team member

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Understanding the Business 

  • Supports the Marketing Manager in the strategic development of annual marketing plans. 

 

Working Well with Others 

  • Works with internal stakeholders and external agencies to meet marketing and event objectives.  

  • Establishes and maintains frequent dialogue with regional and International marketing colleagues to leverage brand and project harmonization. 

  • Provides guidance to the Marketing Associate as required. 

 

Delivering Results 

  • They will independently execute the initiatives in the marketing plans including new service launches, campaign development, content management, and event planning and execution. Works with internal and external partners to support the development and execution of new solutions and channel strategies with advertising, website and digital updates and sales collateral that help support key marketing initiatives. 

  • Designs, develops, and executes marketing campaigns for lead generation and brand awareness purposes, with minimal support from the Marketing Manager.  

  • Independently measures campaign and event performance included in the annual marketing plan, including monthly top-line tracking. They will assist with monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating the performance of marketing programs and provide recommendations to the manager as required. 

  • Works independently to plan and coordinate the management of customer events, tradeshows and webinars.

  • Complete safety-related company training courses as assigned and on time 

  • Participates and engages in the HSE program in a positive and proactive manner 

Work Environment

  • Normal work environment 

  • Extended periods of sitting during regular performance of job duties 

  • Business travel up to 25% / year for company /regional meetings, conferences, etc. 

Preferred Education & Experience 

  • College/university degree in marketing, business administration, communications or equivalent experience in a sales/marketing and/or communications department  

  • 3-5 years marketing experience (industry experience where possible) 

  • Excellent time management and analytical skills. 

  • Experience with all marketing channels (print, digital, social media, events management) 

  • Digital Marketing experience is an asset 

  • Salesforce experience is an asset 

  • Exceptional communication skills 

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and direction 

  • Collaborative team skills within a fast-paced work environment 

  • Managing and coordinating general marketing department tasks, projects, campaigns and events from beginning to end 

  • Flexible working hours to accommodate working with colleagues in  different time zones when required  

  • Asserts a point of view, builds shared interest and mobilizes other to take action 

  • Computer proficiency in various software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, photo/image software and the internet) 

  • Consumer insight and judgement 

  • Detail and Result oriented; Critical thinking and decision making 

  • Positive outlook, self-motivated, high-energy, curiosity and initiative within role and overall business
