About the Department
UOB Group Wholesale Banking & Markets Marketing (GWMM) is the central marketing function for Group Wholesale Banking (GWB) and Global Markets (GM).  We work with all business functions within GWB and GM to develop marketing strategies and plans.  We collaborate and lead across the business functions in GWB and GM, bringing marketing and customer insights to cross-functional stakeholders across relationship managers, product, customers and executive leadership.  Headquartered in Singapore, we offer marketing expertise to develop go-to-market plans to drive and support business goals and initiatives, as well as manage all internal and external marketing communications.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support the Marketing team, specifically in the Group SME Banking and Group Commercial Banking business portfolio. This role offers hands-on exposure to integrated marketing campaigns, digital content and stakeholder coordination within a very fast-paced environment. You will work closely with respective Marketing programme leads to support a range of campaigns that drive awareness and consideration for our products and solutions, as well as customer engagements, that are designed for business growth. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of marketing plans encompassing paid, owned, earned, social channels and events, for the purposes of promoting Group SME Banking and Group Commercial Banking, within the Group Wholesale Banking and Markets business group. These plans will underscore UOB’s capabilities as a bank that connects business within and to ASEAN, as the One Bank For ASEAN, as well as the World’s, Asia’s and Singapore’s Best SME Bank.
     
  • Draft and edit copy independently, with supervision, for campaigns and initiatives spanning ATL, BTL, digital, eDMs, social, branch/ambient, sales tools, events, content, strategic media communications and corporate gift channels. Marketing copy drafted should demonstrate strategic thinking capabilities and adherence to UOB’s Corporate Identity Guidelines.
     
  • Drive assigned projects and collaborate effectively with stakeholders such as Product and Portfolio Managers, Sales, Operations, Legal and Compliance to plan and implement marketing programmes that drive business outcomes such as customer acquisitions, leads generation and utilisation.
  • Monitor and track campaign performance and results that aid effective decision-making for future campaigns and for best practice sharing.
  • Manage and track allocated marketing budgets against planned initiatives.
  • Meticulous and accurate tracking and reporting skills are mandatory for both campaign performance outcomes as well as budgets managed out of Marketing.
  • Partner with creative agencies to guide the development of marketing collaterals, providing clear briefs and feedback each round.
  • Work with stakeholders within and outside of GWMM to ensure adherence to brand guidelines, legal and compliance requirements.
  • Support the development of corporate gifts and all business events as required.
     

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, Humanities, English, or related fields. Relevant internship experience will be preferred. 
  • Possess strong work ethics, with a sense of ownership and integrity
  • Proactive, resourceful, curious and motivated
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a creative bent of mind 
  • Strong attention to details and organisation, with excellent time and project management skills to thrive in a very fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; it is mandatory that the candidate be able to collaborate effectively as a team player and work with stakeholders across the bank
