Marketing Director APAC

Territory: The Marketing Director will cover the APAC region

Location: Singapore (preferred) or Sydney

Travel: Ability to travel up to 50%

Roles & Responsibilities

The Marketing Director is responsible for developing, adapting and implementing high value-added Marketing and Communication programs. The primary objectives are to increase Genetec’s brand visibility, drive sustained business demand, and promote Genetec’s technology and integrator partner ecosystem throughout the Asia Pacific region. 

1.  Leadership & Team Development

·       Lead, motivate, and develop the professional skills of the APAC Marketing team members.

·       Continuously research and implement modern approaches, practices, and processes to enhance the effectiveness of individual team roles.

·       Provide value-added support to internal teams and key customer accounts for marketing and communications initiatives.

2. Strategic Branding & Brand Awareness

·       Improve Genetec’s brand awareness by building sensitivity and recognition among key customers through targeted direct and indirect marketing projects.

·       Collaborate closely with HQ Public Relations teams to maintain strong press visibility and foster connections with local governments within the APAC region to support advocacy and brand authority.

·       Ensure that key customer success stories are effectively communicated and turned into references.

·       In collaboration with Sales, Product, and Industry Marketing, identify the ideal product/service mix for the region and develop compelling high-level storytelling.

3. Demand Generation & Sales Alignment

·       Develop and implement a wide range of internal and external marketing campaigns focused on acquiring new customers and leveraging existing accounts.

·       Generate a robust lead pipeline and business opportunities that align strictly with regional sales priorities.

·       Support regional teams in expanding the scope of opportunities by focusing activities on Genetec’s specific product and service offerings.

4. Partner Ecosystem & Digital Practice

·       Lead an efficient digital marketing practice that supports both customers and the broader partner ecosystem (system integrators, technology alliances, and consultants).

·       Drive the partner ecosystem program within the region, ensuring full alignment with global initiatives.

·       Develop and manage a network of marketing agencies and partners to maximize the return on investment (ROI) of the allocated regional budget.

Experience & Core Competencies

·       Strategic Execution: Proven track record in the creation and implementation of marketing strategies that drive customer demand and partner loyalty.

·       Influential Leadership: Exceptional collaboration and negotiation skills; ability to influence without ownership and gain trust across the organization to achieve results.

·       Demand Generation Excellence: Experienced in driving fully integrated demand generation funnels with proven methods for conversion excellence.

·       People Management: Skilled in acquiring high-value talent, team development, and coaching high-performing teams.

·       Communication: Excellent communicator and presenter; able to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively across all mediums (in-person, online, and written).

·       Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in parallel while remaining organized, detailed, and process-oriented.

·       Technical Acumen: Strong acumen for complex technology systems. A background in IP Security and/or the IT industry is a significant plus.

Technical Proficiency

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

·       Experience with Dynamics CRM, Marketo, and Power BI (or similar marketing and data technologies).

Language Skills

·       English: Written and spoken to a professional business standard (Required).

·       Other Asian Languages: Proficiency in additional regional languages is a significant benefit.
