What you’ll do:
You will be part of a global market research and insight team focused on developing and implementing a strategic and tactical research and insights agenda. You will use first party, primary and secondary research and insights to inform our marketing and commercial insights strategies by enabling data-driven decisions and communication. You will collaborate regularly with the key stakeholders across Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Commercial teams Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be in charge of the research process end-to-end; from identifying research needs to conducting the research and presenting the findings to key internal and external stakeholders. You will act as a key point of contact for APAC commercial teams to identify, strategise and execute on research and insights needs.
- Identify research needs for marketing and commercial teams in the APAC region and prioritise for impact
- Lead research and insights initiatives in APAC. Conceive, lead, and conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies; identifying and managing key external partners to work with.
- Manage stakeholders in the region to deliver on shared goals. Communicate and understand business needs of the APAC region to efficiently work with global partners and integrate key company goals.
- Effectively communicate expectations and results through compelling data storytelling across the organization
- Articulate research findings in a memorable way and present them both in small groups and on larger stages (eg: industry events)
- Develop, structure and scale custom research process internally with various stakeholders and with vendors.
- Build a deep understanding of the advertising industry including, trends, media mix shifts, best practices, competitors, etc., and develop frameworks to synthesize this understanding into insights for the business.
- Create scalable, data-driven insights for key verticals and channels to be leveraged across our sales and marketing teams.
- Gather, assimilate, analyze, and present timely, relevant research and insights for consumer, advertising industry, and vertical trends to a wide variety of stakeholders including commercial teams, product marketing, and PR/comms.
- Project manage and drive success of research initiatives through developing informed and thoughtful survey design, questionnaire development, data collection, analysis, reporting. Manage resources and time efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
- Vet and work with current and potential research and data source partners: Kantar, Nielsen, YouGov, eMarketer, GWI, and others.
Who you are:
- 10+ years of relevant experience within the AdTech, broader digital media industry, television or streaming industry, research vendor or media consultancy.
- Have an understanding and experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and technologies to deliver customer and market research and insights quickly
- Can switch between the bigger picture of orgainsational needs and goals, and the detail of specific markets, research projects or client challenges
- Enjoy public speaking, both in small intimate groups and larger forums such as industry events
- Passionate for the digital media and AdTech industry with a strong commitment to continual learning.
- Have experience working with commercial teams or directly with clients
- A critical thinker that can prioritize for impact and manage stakeholders to a mutually beneficial outcome
- A team player who leads discussions and can equally be a great listener; Enjoy sharing best practices and knowledge with others.
- Great written and verbal communications skills. Ability to present insights and analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences; distill complex research concepts/techniques into simple, relevant meaning for internal and external stakeholders.
- Can work independently and be a self-starter, ambitious, and scrappy; deal well with ambiguity and take initiative and ownership to get the job done despite competing priorities and challenges along the way.
- Strong project management and time management skills; Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and prioritize work appropriately.
- Pays meticulous attention to detail and able to produce deliverables on-time at a very high bar.
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
