Job Description
Market Data Services is the global cross-business team responsible for all aspects of market data delivery, providing economies of scale through the provision of end to end solutions. The team is accountable for vendor management, financial management, engineering, development, connectivity, risk and control, and production support.
As a Market Data Services Product Analyst in our Markets Technology Team, you will become a subject matter expert in the market data vendor landscape. You will provide crucial advice to our firm-wide Line of Business on vendor/product selection to meet their evolving requirements and productivity goals. As the first point of contact for Business Managers and Chief Financial Officers for Market Data financials, insights, and queries, you will play a pivotal role in our operations. This role provides you with comprehensive training and exposure, setting you up for success as a full-time market data business analyst managing global line of business.
Job responsibilities
• Manage accounts by Implementing self-help to allow downstream users to self-service questions• Partner with Control, Analyst & Vendor to implement process to keep accounts • Organize meetings and manage communications for Senior Market Data Analyst focusing on status on priority tasks, projects, new products and functionality, service delivery metrics etc• Keep key documentation updates e.g. how to read a FITS Report, Contract renewals• Have regular contact with major vendors to discuss resolve issues, understand new product/functionality offerings, product road maps• Manage small vendor renewals under guidance of Senior Business Analyst
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Finance / Accounting related disciplines• Minimally 1 years related experience in a relevant domain area or project management• Can-do attitude with a keen-to-learn mindset. Self-starter with excellent attention to details• MS Office, with a particular strength in Excel and PowerPoint• Strong personal skills are critical in order to work with many different internal teams and external vendors• Knowledge of Market Data vendors and products, and how they are used within business• Understanding of vendor contract structure and product licensing and sourcing• Business Analysis experience • Market Data Control experience• Proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese, as this role will be dealing with clients or vendors in China or Japan• Familiarity in JIRA / Tableau / FITS / Agile framework
