What does this role look like for you?

As the Market Category Manager for the A&P Marketing category for the South East Asia Region, you will join our incredible APAC Marketing Procurement team, with ownership in the development and ownership of the A&P Category Strategy for Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, driving deep business partnership with the marketing team to build joint value creation in order deliver their strategic commercial growth objectives while ensuring our business remains commercially competitive and our Advertising remains World Class. As the Category Manager for one of our largest categories, you will build strong cross-cultural relationships with key marketing partners to optimize our A&P investment across the region.

Where will you grow in this role?

  • Develop and implement the long-term category strategy in alignment with the appropriate partners;
  • Drive BAU category management aspects such as sourcing, contract management, risk management, and supplier performance and collaboration management;
  • Grow and lead supplier relationship management activities with strategic suppliers;
  • Collaborate with Market leads and key partners to understand market demand, objectives, priorities, challenges and opportunities; and
  • Deliver financial and non-financial objectives which include risk and governance and our Society 2030 ambitions.

What you need to bring to this role?

  • An experienced Procurement Category Manager that has a positive and collaborative mentality, with the gravitas and leadership capability to establish and build senior internal and external collaborator relationships and lead best in class category management execution;
  • Can do broad critical thinking as well as detailed hands-on execution;
  • Highly resilient and energized by challenges and white spaces;
  • A positive change agent that thrives in ambiguity and matrixed environments;
  • Highly organized multi-tasker that is skilled at prioritization and delivering through others when appropriate;
  • Clear communicator and able to articulate a vision;
  • Objectives focused and hold yourself accountable to deliver at a very high standard, delivering on promises and commitments; and
  • Dedicated and able to work with autonomy requiring only light-touch senior support.
