Manage and execute SIRE 2.0 and CDI inspection programs across a tanker fleet, perform root-cause analyses of findings, conduct shipboard navigational, mooring and cargo audits, liaise with Oil Major vetting teams, ensure compliance with global maritime regulations, and advise Masters and crew on stability and cargo operations.

- Conduct deep-dive root cause analyses into inspection findings and implement robust preventive actions to safeguard the ship’s reputation.
- Manage technical relationships with Oil Major vetting departments, ensuring prompt and professional resolution to all screening queries.
- Execute comprehensive shipboard assessments, including navigational, mooring, and cargo-handling audits to ensure "always-ready" status.
- Ensure all operational activities align strictly with C/P performance warranties and port-specific commercial requirements.
- Review tank cleaning protocols and ballast management plans to minimize off-hire time and maximize turnaround efficiency.
- Track vessel and port performance, identifying and escalating potential commercial risks before they impact the P&L.
- Provide the Master and crew with specialist guidance on stability, challenging mooring configurations, and complex cargo manifolds.
- Interpret and implement global maritime legislation including IMO, MARPOL, Flag State, and USCG requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 24 months of sea-time as a Master or Chief Officer on Oil/Gas tankers (VLCC, Suezmax, or Aframax).
- Proven track record in managing SIRE/CDI inspections with deep expertise in the OCIMF SIRE 2.0 framework.
- A valid CoC Class 1 (Deck) is essential; a Degree in Maritime Studies or a related field is highly regarded.
