We are seeking a Mapping and Localization Engineer to design and deploy robust spatial estimation systems for our fleet of autonomous cleaning robots. This role focuses on the development of highly reliable mapping and localization systems for dynamic indoor environments.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Mapping: Design and implement systems for sensor fusion-based 2D/3D mapping, including map merging, and life long map update.

  • Localization: Development of reliable real-time localization for long-term autonomous operation of robots.

  • Deployment: Optimize algorithms for ARM-based embedded systems and real-time execution.

  • Mentorship: Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers in software best practices (Modern C++, ROS2).

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply

  • Core Expertise: Proficiency in at least one of the following:

    • LiDAR-based Mapping/Localization: 2D or 3D LiDAR.

    • Vision-based Mapping/Localization: Monocular, Stereo, or RGB-D.

  • Math Foundation: Strong understanding of linear algebra, probability, and non-linear optimization.

  • Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Modern C++ (14/17/20).

  • Strong experience with ROS / ROS2.

  • Proficiency in Python for analysis and scripting.

  • Proven experience handling "edge cases" such as glass walls, featureless corridors, and highly dynamic environments to ensure stable operation.

We encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity if you're ready to take on challenges and push the boundaries of Mapping and Localization. Come be a part of our dynamic and collaborative team, where you'll work alongside other experts who share your enthusiasm for building robots.
