We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GIS Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Cartography team to support various mapping and spatial analysis projects. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to real-world projects in multiple countries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation, maintenance, and analysis of spatial data using GIS software.
  • Collaborate with team members to process and update maps for in-house routing engine.
  • Conduct geospatial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Collect, validate, and input data into GIS databases.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation related to GIS projects.
  • Stay current on GIS trends, technologies, and best practices.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient in GIS software such as QGIS (preferred), ArcGIS
  • Proficient in Python programming for GIS applications.
  • Familiarity with OpenStreetMap data and contributions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of spatial data concepts and principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
