About the Opportunity

Applied Materials' Manufacturing Business Unit is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence across our operations. Our teams focus on delivering high-quality equipment through operational excellence, smart manufacturing, automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement.

As a Manufacturing Intern, you will contribute to project-based initiatives that support manufacturing operations, productivity improvement, factory automation, process optimization, industrial engineering, logistics, and data-driven decision-making. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams in a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing operations, automation, and process improvement initiatives

  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and productivity opportunities

  • Assist in the development of dashboards, reports, and performance metrics

  • Support smart factory, digitalization, and automation projects

  • Participate in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project objectives

  • Conduct research, prepare presentations, and document project outcomes

About You

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Engineering degree (eg, Materials, Computer, Electronics/Electrical, Mechanical) at a local university in Singapore

  • Internship must be a mandatory or credit-bearing component of your academic curriculum

  • Able to provide a valid internship support letter from your university for onboarding purposes

  • Available for a full-time internship with a minimum commitment of 20 weeks between January and June 2027

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

Our internship opportunities are project-based and hiring needs vary across teams within Manufacturing Operations. Applications will be reviewed by relevant hiring managers based on current project requirements. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
