The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the 1st Line global KYC transformation project as well as the construction and enhancement of BAU operations and organization structure globally.
Job Responsibilities:
Global PMO / Global BAU Operations Management:
- Accountable for executing the project on time and on budget– formation of project plan such as roadmap, project structure and governance structure; judgement on escalation of process, issues, and risks; consolidation and management of regional budgets including investments, expenses, and human resources, etc.
- Management of stakeholders – collaboration with other regions as the global PMO, whilst not impacting deliverable and timelines
- Formulation of governance framework such as Guiding Principles to ensure global alignment
- Direction, management, reporting, and coordination regarding KYC issues and topics in each region or office
Regional KYC Enhancement (APAC/JPN):
Coworking with APAC PMO for the PJ and stakeholders, to manage and take responsibility for the following:
- On time and on budget delivering of Project. Formulation, promotion, and management of regional project plans, including supervision and monitoring of regional offices, investment and budget management
- Ensuring the project plan as the global pilot region
- Reporting and coordination with headquarters. Responsible for getting decisions to ensure timely delivery
- Collaboration with 2nd line in regional offices and regional business
- Management of investment and expense budget within the region
- Comply with all applicable MAS regulations and MUFG group policies
Teamwork:
- Provide guidance and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to team members.
- Actively liaise with numerous departments and collaborate closely with other regions to foster a cohesive global KYC team.
Other / control:
- To liaise and collaborate with stakeholders in Tokyo Head Office and prepare detailed KYC Transformation Projects & reports to be presented in Japanese during Meetings and Conferences
Job Requirements:
- Japanese Language Proficiency: Minimum JLPT N1 Certification (or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency) with demonstrated experience communicating with Japanese stakeholders and senior management, including acting as a key point of contact for KYC matters and project management across Tokyo Head Office and APAC.
- Banking Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the banking industry including a minimum of 3 years specializing in KYC operations.
- Must have a strong track record of managing complex compliance requirements and leading strategic initiatives.
- Deep Knowledge of KYC Standards: Demonstrated experience in banking operations with solid understanding of KYC operations, complemented by exceptional communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated experience in strategy planning, organizational development, and driving operational excellence.
- Documentation Expertise: Familiarity with market standards and demonstrable ability to develop and maintain comprehensive KYC documentation.
- Communications Skills: Demonstrated experience in internal communication related to KYC operations complemented by exceptional communication, written and interpersonal.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Self-starter with a collaborative mindset, capable of operating independently while fostering teamwork across diverse regions.
