[What the role is]

About Planning
The Planning team works closely with senior management to shape EDB’s strategies and priorities, drive coherence in formulation and execution, and track progress and effectiveness of EDB’s strategies and priorities.
Our work is anchored on the three core roles of setting the organisation direction, implementing stakeholder interventions, and designing and building execution systems.

[What you will be working on]

We are currently looking for a Manager/Senior Manager

In this role, you will work across several of the following workstreams, depending on business needs and your strengths 

  • Assess opportunities or threats to Singapore’s competitiveness and EDB’s economic strategy in light of global and domestic trends.  

  • Engage stakeholders within and outside EDB to drive common understanding of EDB’s priorities and contribution to the economy.   

  • Design and manage corporate planning and performance management processes, including target-setting and work planning.  

  • Manage and improve systems that track investment pipelines and performance of EDB industries and firms.  

  • Establish sound data management, standardise methodologies and analytical tools to support reporting and operations  

[What we are looking for]

We are looking for candidates who combine system thinking with execution rigour, and who are comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy, data and organisational dynamics.  

 

You should possess the following: 

  • A strong sense of intellectual curiosity – as manifested in a willingness to build network and engage individuals to solicit insights.   

  • Ability to quickly synthesise current/past work on a given topic (whether through literature reviews or reaching out to the right people), and identify the delta to focus efforts on. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate senior-level discussions.  

  • Ability to influence and work through internal/ external stakeholders, while being sensitive to organisational dynamics and ground realities. 

  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work in an unstructured environment, and flex in different teams as an individual contributor, manager or peer leader.  

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with ability to draw insights across multiple data sources, and utilise appropriate frameworks to drive discussions
