About the Role 

This role will launch and build the BDR function in Singapore for the first time, shaping how pipeline is generated across Southeast Asia as part of a major APAC growth strategy.

Reporting to the VP, Global Business Development, you will build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) across the region. You will initially lead a lean team of ~3 BDRs, with plans to scale as the business grows.

This is a highly visible role at the intersection of sales, marketing, and revenue strategy - ideal for someone who is hands-on, commercially minded, and excited by building in an evolving environment.

You will lead a team focused on delivering solutions for the Office of the CFO, supporting enterprise customers with performance management, planning, and financial data insights.

Commercial Focus & Success Measures

The team operates in a predominantly new business environment, generating pipeline through outbound engagement while also identifying opportunities to expand within an existing customer base.
 

Success in the role is measured by the team’s ability to consistently generate high-quality pipeline and drive meaningful contribution to overall revenue growth.

 

What You'll Do 

  • Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing BDR team across APAC

  • Build and execute outbound prospecting strategies across Southeast Asia

  • Establish best practices across:

    • Targeting

    • Messaging

    • Pipeline generation

  • Design and optimise outbound sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn

  • Drive a data-first approach to performance, tracking pipeline, conversion, and activity metrics

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to align on GTM strategy

  • Build strong alignment with Account Executives to ensure high-quality pipeline handoff

  • Contribute insights from the field to inform product positioning and regional strategy

  • Own hiring, onboarding, and development of the team as the function scales

Ideal Candidate Profile

Core Requirements

  • Experience in Sales Development / Business Development (BDR/SDR) within SaaS or enterprise software

  • Strong understanding of outbound pipeline generation

  • 1+ years leadership experience OR clear readiness to step into a leadership role

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed pipeline or revenue targets

  • Hands-on, execution-focused, and comfortable working in a build environment

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

 

Highly Valued

  • Experience as an Account Executive (or full-cycle sales role)

    • Particularly candidates who have progressed from BDR → AE → leadership

  • Experience in EPM, ERP, FP&A, or finance technology

  • Familiarity with modern outbound tools and tech stack (e.g. Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, Clay, AI tools)

  • Experience working across APAC markets

  • Exposure to account-based marketing (ABM) or data-driven prospecting
