Functional (job responsibilities)Security Documentation
• Review and craft Letters of Offer, Supplementary Letters of Offer and security documentation in accordance with the approved terms and conditions for private banking. Relevant experience in assets transfer, mortgage financing, structured financing, and corporate banking financing will be advantage.
• Ensure all pre-disbursement conditions (Conditions Precedent) are met before activating credit facilities.
• Liaise with valuers, solicitors and other external parties on the valuation, perfection and registration of security pledged to the Bank and total discharge of security for redemptions for both local and overseas properties and other collaterals, including but not limited to non-standard documentation and complex security structures.
• Liaise with insurance companies and agents on the workflow and collateral documentations on the assignment of the life insurance policies, fire insurance policies and credit insurance policies and release of assignment as required.
• Track ageing for return of facility and security documents for safe keeping.
• Ensure that all facility and supporting security documents duly executed by clients are in order and pledged with HLBS and/or overseas branches
• Approve implementation, changes and cancellation of credit facilities and collateral maintenance and loan drawdowns / limit changes / redemptions
Credit Reporting
• Review all monthly regulatory and daily/monthly head office and management reports including ad hoc reports as assigned from time to time.
• Review the valuation of collaterals and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare monthly Credit Committee presentation pack and minutes of meetings.
Control
• Review implementation and control of acceptable collateral, caprice, single counter limit and grandfathering of shares.
• Review and monitor margin call, excess collateral shortfall and other credit exceptions and track for ratifications and approval.
• Review and monitor outstanding documentations, special covenants and conditions for credit compliance.
• Review and monitor compliance within regulatory limits.
• Conduct annual review of the bank’s panel of external legal, valuers and insurance agents.
• Update and review of SOP manual and risk control measures.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and resolving identified issues.
Projects
• Actively support and contribute constructively to the success of inter-departmental projects such document library, new products initiation and integration, new marketing campaigns launched by various BUs.
• Initiate and spearhead department projects to improve on the operational efficiency, compliance controls and processes.
• Prepare test scripts and perform UAT testing for banking system enhancements and delivery.
Stakeholders Collaboration
• Partner with Relationship Managers (RMs) and Credit Risk teams to resolve documentation discrepancies and provide advisory on credit structures.
Others
• Manage/participate ad-hoc assignments assigned from time to time.
• Assist to provide leave cover for Head and other team member as designated by Head from time to time.
• Provide mentoring, training and guidance to team members and junior staff as and when needed.
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
To carry out any other duties as assigned by Head, Credit Admin & Loan Operations and Head of Operations from time to time.
Organizational (organizational responsibilities)
To carry out any other duties as directed/assigned by the Management from time to time.
Requirements:
Education/Qualification
- A degree Holder from a recognized institution
Experience
- Typically more than 8 years of working experience in credit administration, control and documentation or credit related areas, specifically with in Private Banking
Technical Knowledge / Soft Skills
- Deep understanding of private banking products, investment-linked loans, and cross-border security laws.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to work under tight deadlines
