We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Manager – Mechanical to join our Building Services team in Singapore and become part of a network of over 400 Building Services Engineers across the Asia Pacific. We are currently recruiting for Manager – Mechanical to join our Building Services team with broad experience in healthcare, commercial and mixed-development projects. This position will be based in our Singapore Office and reporting to Studio Manager.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

  • Deliver operational excellence through effective management of complex technical solutions and large and complex Mechanical projects / multiple jobs
  • Work on Mechanical projects from inception, through strategic planning and concept to detailed design planning and resourcing effectively to meet budgets and targets
  • Lead and manage M&E/CENEX project teams by outlining and assigning work, reviewing technical accuracy and technical outcomes
  • Identify and implement profit maximisation and cost management strategies
  • Responsible for analysis of information, production of design, tenders, proposals and technical report writing
  • Assist in coordination of quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and other design consultants
  • In charge of jobs control, planning, monitoring, progress and job cost reporting
  • Respond to client enquiries about technical issues in a way that maximises understanding
  • Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills
  • Mentor and coach junior peers across the M&E discipline

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore, will be an advantage)
  • At least 7 years relevant in Mechanical / Building Services engineering.
  • Experience leading roles for design & design management of residential, commercial, institutional or mixed-used developments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Singapore codes, standards, and regulations, including BCA, SCDF (Fire Code), and relevant Codes of Practice
  • Understanding of energy‑efficient mechanical systems, with exposure to Green Mark and/or LEED‑certified projects highly regarded.
  • Competent user of relevant engineering software and simulation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, suitable for client, authority, and senior‑management engagement.
