Job Description

As the Manager of IO and Mixed Signal Design at Broadcom, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a team of highly skilled electrical engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing the development, design, and testing of a broad variety of IOs and analog mixed signal IP, ensuring they meet the highest quality and performance standards. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong technical background, project management skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring the team's professional development. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IO and Mixed-Signal projects, ensuring they are completed on time and with excellent quality.

Technical Expertise: Stay current with the latest developments in IO, ESD, and Latch-up standards, providing technical guidance and expertise to the team. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Have a deep understanding of typical transmitter and receiver architectures, along with common analog circuits like bandgaps, amplifiers, ADC/DAC. Understand basics of digital flows from synthesis, to static timing analysis and place and route flows.

Design and Development: Lead the design and development of complex IP supporting diverse applications across all of Broadcom's business units and customers from high-speed to high-voltage and everything in between.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs meet stringent quality standards to ensure first-time success on silicon to reduce product risk and time-to-market. You should be constantly looking to improve quality control, verification efficiency, and design practices.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams around the world, from marketing, to design, FA, and direct interaction with external customers to ensure seamless integration of our IP with the products and systems using them.

Budget and Resource Management: Manage resources efficiently to ensure high productivity and high quality. Know how best to use the strengths and expertise on your team to both execute the business requirements and develop the engineers on your team.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for internal and external users. Ensure product teams have the proper information to implement our IP while protecting Broadcom IP and technical expertise.
