Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Manager, Fresh to lead commercial strategy and operations for our Fresh categories across our Dmart/Dark Store businesses spanning 11 markets for Foodora, foodpanda, and Yemeksepeti. Reporting to the Head - Private Labels, Fresh and Commercial Operations, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive commercial strategies that drive competitive advantage, optimise portfolio performance, and deliver sustainable growth across all markets.
- Development, defining and implementation of commercial strategies for Fresh Categories
- Strategise category directions, vendor management, negotiating terms, oversee implementation in platform
- Strengthen and develop the portfolio to gain competitive advantage in assortment, pricing, promotion and visibility
- Working closely with different cross-functional teams, such as Commercial, Campaigns, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, etc.
- Build a deep understanding of suppliers, industry, customers and competitors in the local market
- Creating strong partnerships with suppliers and develop strategic sourcing for product assortment
- Evaluating products and suppliers including negotiation, business development and business reviews
- Recommends new products based on market trends and market’s competitive landscape, manages new product introduction
- Translates market knowledge and consumer insights into actionable opportunities
- Manage and support in commercial requirements for the portfolio
- Management of KPIs and forecasts in line with trade plans
- Collaborate in planning and promotions of the portfolio of products
- Be adept with relevant market information and regulations
- Background on Food Safety standards, quality assurance and required to government regulations
- Identify and execute opportunities for product optimization, cost reduction, and margin improvement
- Any ad-hoc tasks or projects assigned by the company
- At least 5 years experience in similar or adjacent roles
- Degree in any Business, Management, Supply Chain, Marketing or a related field
- Proven experience in commercial, sourcing, or category management
- Demonstrated background in similar roles with e-commerce/supermarket/grocery industry would be a plus
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Thinks creatively and adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment
