We’ve recently introduced a new ad-supported plan, offering a more affordable price point for customers. To support this exciting new area of the business, we are building out the Financial Planning & Analysis team to lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for this exciting new initiative. 

We are currently looking for a Manager to lead Financial Planning & Analysis for our Ads business in the APAC region. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow quickly in this space, collaborating closely with a highly cross-functional and global team. This role will work closely with the Netflix Ads APAC leadership team to oversee short and long-term planning for ads revenue and expenses across Sales, Operations, Measurement, and other supporting functions. Furthermore, you'll collaborate with the global Ads finance and strategy team in Los Angeles, consolidating the complete financial outlook for the business.

The ideal candidate is a selfless, curious, passionate leader with exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills.  We are looking for someone who can drive financial planning with a strategic lens. This role demands comfort with ambiguity, collaborative problem-solving, and the capability to manage complex work streams with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee short and long-term financial and headcount planning covering the full ads business P&L (i.e. revenue through expenses) for the APAC region

  • Coordination with Ads Strategy, Planning & Analysis colleagues to model and consolidate the financial impact of product, plan, and pricing changes. 

  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses to deliver insights, and facilitate trade-off discussions, scenario plans, opportunity size, etc. 

  • Create insightful presentations to summarize analyses and facilitate decision-making 

  • Ownership of our financial projections and assumptions in planning systems including Anaplan, Workday, Essbase, Tableau

  • Develop KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to track the ongoing impact of Ads business.

  • Creation, standardization, and automation of management reporting in dashboards, reports, & templates 

  • Building strong relationships with a wide group of stakeholders (Ad Sales & Ops, Data Science, Accounting, Talent Acquisition/HR, etc.) and being able to effectively communicate financial tracking/impact

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a fast-paced, highly analytical environment. Prior experience in advertising FP&A, management consulting, and strategic finance in tech or high-growth startups is preferred 

  • Experience building & refining financial reporting processes, with high ambiguity and shifting requirements

  • Strong modeling skills and comfort with manipulating large datasets in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and other data visualization tools 

  • Candidates must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, able to work autonomously and perform tasks with a wide range of difficulties

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build successful relationships and partners at all levels

  • Very strong project management, planning, & organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver work under tight timelines.

  • A strong attention to detail with strong judgment on when to apply the 80/20 rule to address problems.

  • Familiarity with financial systems such as Workday, Essbase, Anaplan, sales incentive compensation, and general knowledge of the streaming advertising and ad tech ecosystem is a plus, though not required.
