Job Description

Team Summary:

Visa’s Asia Pacific Corporate Strategy team based in Singapore plays a key role in shaping Visa’s long-term strategy in the region and solving for regional and country-specific opportunities and challenges, in partnership with executives and business leaders across Visa’s organization. Recent initiatives have addressed topics such as market strategy, product strategy, multi-year planning, and organic / inorganic growth opportunities across the region. The team is also responsible for developing thought leadership on emerging trends in payments industry.

What an Manager, Corporate Strategy does at Visa:

Corporate Strategy Manager plays a key role in supporting delivery of key strategic initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support work streams on projects related to AP region’s market-specific strategy, competitive analysis, multi-year business planning, etc.
  • Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues
  • Build out unique, creative, and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Visa's many expert functional resources and supporting collaborative solution development
  • Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations
  • Work closely with cross-functional and regional management teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support
  • Communicate recommendations to in a clear, concise, and impactful way

Why this is important to Visa:

The AP Corporate Strategy team is responsible for helping the senior leadership team in setting the strategic agenda for Visa in AP in close alignment with the global and regional leadership. As part of the strategy team, you will be instrumental in defining, planning, and executing long-term strategic priorities that will set Visa (encompassing all our segments, channels, and geographies) on a path to accelerate growth across Asia Pacific region.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with a structured mindset, curiosity about the payments industry, is results-driven, and client focused. As an ideal candidate, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Economics, Business, or similar fields
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting or similar experience in a multi-national company doing strategy planning / financial analysis
  • Experience in payments industry is highly preferred
  • Self-starter, with ability to support multiple workstreams
  • Ability to develop content independently and prioritize deliverables to meet timelines, and ability to adapt to changes in priorities quickly
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, and attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Complete team player, able work across cultures, upholds and promotes highest ethical standards and mutual respect in the workplace
