The Manager of Category Management will handle sourcing, merchandising, and P&L responsibility for impulse categories, optimize supplier relationships, and drive category strategy through data-driven decisions while collaborating cross-functionally.

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an entrepreneurial Manager, Category Management (FMCG Impulse) who will be responsible for the sourcing and merchandising of a category within foodpanda’s New Verticals team.
- Full P&L responsibility for the assigned Impulse categories, including revenue, margin & other supplier income
- Develop and execute aligned category strategy to meet with KPIs
- Ensure pandamart has the right selections and best prices in the market
- Work with existing suppliers to negotiate cost, funding and terms improvement, secure supplier marketing and advertising spend, and ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods to our fulfilment centre
- Work to develop new sourcing and extended range to ensure we have high quality, good value goods available to our customers year-round
- Employ data-driven decision-making to drive the category. Work closely with marketing and supply chain to forecast demand and ensure consistent supply
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Imports, Pricing, Strategy, Finance and Marketing to deliver strategic projects that allow pandamart to offer the best customer experience
- Spearhead commercial initiatives independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant
- 3+ years' relevant work experience, preferably in FMCG, retail, account and category management
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate Managers
- Demonstrated track record of successful negotiations, influence and overall relationship management (both internal and external)
- Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability and desire to contribute to wider team performance and culture
- Strong analytical skills
- Great communication skills (both oral and written) are a must
- Proficient in MS Office & G-suite
- Past Supplier Acquisition experience are good to have
