Job Profile Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join as a Manager, Business Control, for the Regional Business Control Office (first line of defence) of ING Wholesale Banking Asia to:

  • Contribute to the design, preparation and coordination of various NFR initiatives having in mind supporting the business in efforts to stay within the risk appetite and help to respond to various NFR related requirements, requests, queries etc.
  • Advise and support the identification, analysis and mitigation of non-financial risks within the WB Asia.
  • Work closely & collaborate with country management, business Managers, 1st line business & operations teams, second line of defence in the region & with global teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the business and functions in the implementation of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Management Procedures and Control Standards.
  • Plan and align regional or local implementation planning to fulfil requirements set from Head Office for key control testing, control evaluation and risk assessment.
  • Coordinate with Control Owners to ensure effective implementation and execution of NFR activities.
  • Monitors progress of NFR activities and reports back to local/ regional Risk and Control function including any roadblocks.
  • Support management in NFR governance matters such as issue tracking.
  • Liaise with relevant second line of defence and audit teams for risk management questions and/or advise on risk mitigating activities.
  • Other NFR related topics.

What we're looking for:

  • Master/Bachelor’s degree with at least 7-8 years relevant of Banking Industry experience, in 1st/2nd line risk management or risk auditing.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience of Non-Financial Risk topics, NFR processes and frameworks.
  • Good knowledge & understanding of WB products and processes.
  • Display exemplary conduct and a pragmatic, thorough and result driven approach.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, planning & negotiation skills.
  • Experienced in working in a multi-cultural, regional/global organization structure; with good stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
