Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Partner with, consult and advise hiring managers throughout the entire resourcing lifecycle
  • Identify and source diverse talent for open roles (permanent, fixed term contracts, internships etc.)
  • Build talent pipelines needed for business growth, succession planning and replacement hires
  • Conduct in-depth consultation meetings with hiring managers independently and where applicable, the HR Business Partners (UK) in the team to appropriately align candidate sourcing activities with the role requirements considering global team setup, matrix / functional reporting requirements
  • Use external market benchmarks and internal equity considerations to provide insight to hiring managers on recruitment activity, candidate experience and the resourcing lifecycle
  • Ensure candidates receive a highly positive experience through the entire recruitment process
  • Support and facilitate the interview, offer and onboarding process inclusive setup in Workday systems
  • Ability to understand global processes and help embed them into APAC countries with an understanding (and keep abreast) of local laws, policies and regulations
  • Actively manage relationships with preferred suppliers and ensure supplier selection meet criteria around diversity and candidate experience
  • Participate in project workstreams to help drive and deliver the future resourcing functions objectives including compensation benchmark initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues both locally and globally; take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, internal clients’ outcomes and a reduction in M&G Plc’s operational risk

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the financial services industry including buy-side / asset management; strong English communication skills, fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and/or Japanese will be a plus
  • Experience in managing end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across a range of roles for Singapore (must), Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, South Korea and Japan, within a regulated environment
  • Demonstrable experience of key stakeholder management across all levels
  • Innovative direct sourcing capabilities
  • Strong process management expertise / mindset and the ability to implement new ways of working
  • Understanding of and interest in wider HR responsibilities including Rewards, Learning & Development &/or Employee Relations to further elevate the APAC HR service offerings across the region
  • Team player, driven and a self-starter with an interest to increase visibility, credibility of M&G brand regionally
