Job Description

Team Summary

The Risk & Data Solutions team is responsible for leading the strategy, prioritisation, development and delivery of Visa’s product roadmap for all risk and data solutions in the Asia Pacific markets in our Value Added Services (VAS) organisation. The team collaborates with local and global stakeholders to develop and scale Visa’s risk and data solutions for our respective markets.

As the Manager: Acquiring Risk Solutions at Visa, this role will have responsibility for the management of risk solutions for acquirers and merchants in Asia Pacific. You will contribute to the strategy, prioritization and deployment of the solution portfolio in the Asia Pacific region. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including partners and clients in the development of solutions, contributing to solution design, deployment and performance of the service.

Important to the role is a client-oriented mindset when developing solutions while having a strong commercial understanding of a network business and application of leading payment technologies. Your passion for growing new business, exceptional stakeholder skills and a market-focused approach will enable you to succeed in this role. This individual must be able to independently manage working-level relationships whilst being comfortable to present to executives, both for internal stakeholders and external clients.

This role is based in the Asia Pacific regional hub in Singapore and will work closely with priority markets on solutions development and development.

Specific areas of accountability will include:

  • Spearheading sales and client engagement for the AP region, being the prime advocate driving adoption of the platform
  • Proactive management of the sales pipeline including forecasting, client contracting, implementation prioritization and billing
  • Being an SME and advocate for Visa’s acquiring risk solutions, conducting workshops and training on with multiple players in the ecosystem including clients, merchants, regulators, and Visa’s various functional units across AP
  • Being the internal advocate for the implementation of Asia Pacific requirements with regional and global teams.
  • Providing guidance and expertise to product and client facing teams and support discussions with prospective clients with specific focus on Visa’s solutions.
  • Providing input and leadership on regulatory and industry developments
  • Close monitoring of market trends, emerging technologies and prospective partners in the general fraud space

The Manager: Acquiring Risk Solutions will report to the Director of AP Authentication Solutions.

Qualifications

What you will need:

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • The ability to articulate Visa’s strategic vision and solution constructs that execute against it, to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • An ability to engage diverse groups, including senior executives
  • Solution-led thinking; particularly in the payments and authentication space
  • To challenge and inspire colleagues and enable them to gain confidence and familiarity with Visa’s data solutions.
  • Demonstrated agility in working with cross-functional teams as we iterate through different solution constructs and commercial structures.

The following are mandatory requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree ideally, a BA/BS/B Eng. degree in related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in conjunction with a less technical bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a related field with product management experience including product conception and launching, building, and growing product penetration
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Operations and Marketing
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment with global and regional teams
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders and clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
