About the Team

Our client is a leading global technology company, recognized for its innovative approach and impactful products. The Search Team is responsible for building and optimizing a state-of-the-art search engine that delivers an exceptional search experience to users. The team combines information retrieval technology with advanced machine learning techniques, such as NLP, Computer Vision, Multimodal technologies, and Recommender Systems. It’s a culture that values intellectual curiosity, self-direction, and problem-solving, with a focus on creating solutions that directly enhance user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize search quality to ensure the best search experience for users.

• Leverage modern machine learning techniques, including NLP and Multimodal methods, to improve search ranking algorithms.

• Improve query understanding, video understanding, and result ranking processes.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-impact results.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• Proven experience in search and/or recommendation systems.

• Strong coding skills with proficiency in C++, Python, or Java.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: NLP, Ranking, Ads, Search Engines, Recommender Systems, and Machine Learning.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

• Priority will be given to candidates who can speak Chinese/Mandarin.

Benefits

Compensation:

• 2-1 Level: Annual salary of 170K SGD (Special approval needed for 170-200K SGD range).

• 2-2 Level: Annual salary of 250K SGD (Special approval needed for 250-300K SGD range).

• 3-1 Level: Maximum annual salary of 430K SGD.

• The position is based in Singapore, with the possibility of an Employment Pass (EP) for senior candidates.
