[What the role is]

Manager, Rail Performance Analysis

[What you will be working on]

The Rail Licensing Division is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to guide a team to undertake the responsibility of analysing rail operating performance, identifying trends and patterns to support informed decision-making and spearhead continuous improvement for rail information, in support of the development and regulation of Singapore’s Rapid Transit Systems (RTS) network.

 

As a key member of the team, you will lead rail performance and analysis initiatives and be responsible for:
 

a) Monitoring, analysing, and interpreting data to extract meaningful insights into rail performance;
 

b) Conducting comprehensive assessments to ensure the accuracy of statistics;
 

c) Performing checks and audits on the data collection processes of rail operators;
 

d) Reviewing, developing and implementing new rail performance indicators; and
e) Fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to improve rail performance.

[What we are looking for]

• Knowledge in Statistics, Data Science, Business or related discipline.
 

• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including minutes taking and technical writing skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to develop strategic, evidence- based recommendations, coupled with keen insight into operational and ground challenges.
 

• The ability to work both independently and as a team, and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
 

• Good time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
 

• Self-motivation and resourcefulness to produce innovative solutions.
 

• Leadership skills and relevant working experience in data analysis, sense making of data from systems or working experience in public sector or rail industry will be an advantage.

As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
