PRINCIPAL/SENIOR ENGINEER, STREET DESIGN & INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNOLOGY

[What you will be working on]

Many opportunities and challenges await those who are keen on an exciting career to realise our commitment to envision and implement an integrated transport system.

You will be part of a team to lead and support the planning and design development of commuter and road infrastructure projects to enhance the travel experience of commuters, motorists, cyclists and active mobility users. You will have the opportunity to conduct feasibility studies and utilise design thinking to conceptualise and design user-centric road schemes. You will also prepare tender specifications, lead consultancy and contract management, and provide technical support in the project implementation stage. There will also be opportunities for you to drive the exploration, evaluation and prototyping of emerging technology suitable for infrastructure development, as well as develop and review engineering standards and design guidelines.

In addition, to achieve our vision of a car-lite nation, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with agencies and stakeholders to redefine our user’s travel experience through the development of Transit Priority Corridors and road re-purposing projects. You will be part of the team participating in road and streetscape design aimed at creating pedestrian friendly streets.

[What we are looking for]

  • Knowledge in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent

  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience in Civil / Structural Engineering design projects. Experience in streetscape design with good understanding of urban design principles will be an added advantage.

  • Project management experience with strong working knowledge of relevant local standards, codes, and authorities’ requirements for transport and infrastructure projects

  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Candidates with fewer years of relevant experience may be considered for a junior role
