[What the role is]

MANAGER, GIS SOLUTION & ADOPTION

[What you will be working on]

We are looking for an experienced GIS professional to lead the standardisation and adoption of GIS solutions across LTA's engineering functions. In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams to understand their workflows, identify opportunities where GIS can add value, and develop reusable solutions that can be scaled across the organisation. You will also play a key outreach and enablement role — helping teams discover, adopt, and get the most out of GIS capabilities.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of engineering workflows and processes across the organisation, building a clear picture of functional needs and priority pain points.
  • Defining and maintaining a structured framework of GIS use cases organised by common workflows, user groups, and data needs — mapping existing solutions against this framework to identify gaps, duplication, and opportunities for standardisation.
  • Designing and maintaining reusable GIS templates and solution frameworks, including for areas not yet served by existing tools, and assessing enterprise systems and platforms to ensure GIS solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Creating clear, task-based user guides and quick-start materials to help non-expert users get up and running with reusable templates.
  • Planning and leading outreach initiatives across Groups to showcase GIS capabilities, gather feedback, and drive uptake — including facilitating workshops and clinics to support users, address technical queries, and foster knowledge sharing.
  • Continuously scanning for opportunities to broaden the application of GIS across the organisation, translating these into proposed pilots, standards, or roadmap items.

[What we are looking for]

  • At least 10 years of experience in GIS, geospatial solutions, or related fields, with a demonstrated track record of delivering solutions for engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or asset management contexts.
  • Strong ability to elicit requirements from users, understand end-to-end workflows, and translate them into practical, scalable solutions — from prototype through to full rollout.
  • Hands-on experience creating reusable GIS assets such as templates, data models, map and app patterns, symbology standards, and reference architectures.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise applications and data platforms — such as EAM/CMMS, document management systems, BIM/CAD tools, and data lakes — and how GIS integrates with them.
  • Ability to produce clear, accessible documentation for diverse audiences including engineers, planners, and operational teams.
  • Experience designing and delivering workshops, training, or enablement programmes to drive adoption and build user capability.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate alignment and influence outcomes across teams without relying on formal authority.
  • A proactive and strategic mindset — with the ability to spot opportunities, prioritise value, and drive continuous improvement through well-designed standards and reusable solutions.

As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and /or undergo further assessment.
