Lead user experience design for a citizen- and staff-facing digital platform. Create high-fidelity interfaces, prototypes, reusable components, and design-system improvements; conduct usability research; facilitate co-design workshops; guide vendors; design understandable AI experiences; and monitor adoption after launch. The role requires strong visual craft, stakeholder alignment, human-factors knowledge, and experience designing complex digital products at scale.

[What the role is]

Join a team reimagining the future of our digital services. We are transforming OneMotoring into an intelligent Digital Shopfront that makes every interaction simpler, faster, and more delightful. Powered by AI, it will thoughtfully augment how digital services are designed, delivered and experienced, creating the next-generation platform that keeps your world moving.
As Manager, User Experience, you will shape a platform that citizens and staff use every day. You will turn complex services into elegant, intuitive journeys, lead the research that proves they work, and hold delivery teams to a high bar for design quality.

[What you will be working on]

What You’ll Do

  • Design the platform, hands-on: Create high-fidelity designs for citizen and staff-facing interfaces, from concepts to interactive prototypes and reusable components. Bring a sharp eye for visual hierarchy, composition, clarity, and the small details.

  • Lead with user insight: Plan and conduct usability testing, interviews, and research with citizens and staff. Turn findings into clear design decisions that inform the design.

  • Run co-design and experiments: Facilitate workshops with system owners and users to surface needs, test concepts, and build shared ownership. Use structured experiments to resolve design questions with evidence.

  • Improve the design system: Work with technology colleagues to continually refine the design system, building a shared design language and component library that exhibits a high standard of craft and aesthetics.

  • Guide vendor design delivery: Review and shape what vendors produce, from concepts to final interfaces. Protect design integrity and work constructively through differences.

  • Design AI into the experience: Shape how AI is introduced to users, endeavouring to make AI clear and useful, with sensible expectations and graceful recovery.

  • Own adoption, not just launch: Track how designs function after launch. Keep improving the experience until the evidence shows it delivers meaningful value for users.

[What we are looking for]

  • You have 7+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong hands-on work in Figma across complex digital products.

  • You have an exceptional eye for aesthetics. You care about typography, layout, spacing, visual hierarchy, consistency, and know how these details shape ease of use.

  • You have independently planned and conducted usability research - developing discussion guides, engaging users, analysing results and translating them into designs.

  • You have facilitated workshops and co-design sessions with stakeholders who do not always agree and can rally the group towards a clear decision.

  • You can protect design quality while working productively with delivery teams. You know what to protect, when to compromise, and how to persuade others effectively.

  • You understand how AI systems behave, including their limitations, and can design experiences that set the right expectations for when AI gets things wrong.

  • You understand human factors and cognitive load, and design around how people process information specific to land transportation use cases.

  • You have designed for complex platforms with many services, users, and stakeholders, where consistency and buy-in are design problems in their own right.

  • Prior experience in the Singapore public sector or highly regulated environments and familiarity with enterprise platform / product delivery at scale will be an advantage.

As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
