SUMMARY

Logistics Outbound Operations Taiwan PM is a key role within the Manufacturing Logistics Operations organization.

Key objectives will be achieving defined logistics customer service levels for AMAT Asia Production Centre (APC) in terms of Finished Goods on time customer delivery and accuracy.

This role will work closely with manufacturing, project managers, order management, trade, quality control ,3PL and customer freight forwarders in defining outbound freight process, managing operations, ensure quality control and report/monitor on process effectiveness

Excellent communications, analytics and problem-solving skills are a necessity along with the agility to respond in a fast-paced environment.         

This individual will report to the SGP Outbound Operations manager.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage Silicon System Group (SSG) Finished Goods operations and customer deliveries in Taiwan.  
  • Actively participate and lead cross functional teams to ensure on time customer shipment readiness.
  • Develop and understand warehouse and transportation operational capacity. Communicate capacity requirements for revenue shipments.
  • Proactively work with internal account teams and customer freight forwarders/ trucker to highlight potential risks areas and jointly work on alternative options plan if necessary.
  • Manage 3rd party logistics provider in the day-to-day executions of FGI warehouse, transport operations and crating.
  • Establish Key Process Indicators (KPI) and Scorecard metrics. Established dashboard, reports to maintain and ensure performance and drive 3PL on corrective actions.
  • Drive 3PL in ensuring all deliveries are transacted in ERP or Applied system accurately and timely as per Global Invoicing / Revenue Recognition standards.
  • Monitor and manage plant to plant materials delivery (ICTO) timeliness and effectiveness to ensure on time receipts of complete modules into the FGI Taiwan warehouse
  • Actively participate and lead cross functional teams (demand managers, manufacturing, material planners, IE etc) in outbound freight process designs and improvement implementation.  
  • Actively participate and contribute to freight planning, packaging and quality improvement initiatives for manufacturing.
  • Responsible for warehouse inventory control and finance reporting. Drive excess/aging inventory reduction through 3PL management, collaboration with cross functional teams
  • Drive and seek opportunities to introduce automation and technology into the warehouse operations as opportunities to improve quality control, space and labor productivity. Collaborate with the internal IT team to provide system or platform expertise in process design, training and user operations support for any change projects.
  • Develop good understanding of Taiwan import/exports requirements and ensure warehouse import and export process compliance.      
  • Manage customer escalations, define problem statement, data analyze and drive corrective actions alongside with 3PL and AMAT Quality Team.       
  • Ensure Logistics compliance and controls to Applied Quality and Safety Standards 
  • Manage projects, programs and assignments effectively with clear milestones and timeline tracking.

Minimum Requirements: Education & Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics Operations or Supply Chain
  • At least 5-8 years experience in order management, freight management, logistics operations, 3PL Management and process quality control

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Attention to details and analytical in problem solving   
  • Ability to demonstrate a high sense of urgency and is highly adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic environment.     
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a culturally diversified cross functional team
  • Excellent English and Chinese written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to work independently with moderate guidance
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and think creatively
  • Proficiency in working with data for analysis and solution development
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required (e.g., quarter-end).
  • Able to create dashboard using Tableau/ Power BI or any other platform. (plus point)

  • Quarterly weekend support (during Applied fiscal quarter end)
