Life Pricing Intern, SEA Markets

Job Summary:

Our internship program is designed to provide students with work assignments and projects that are challenging, educational and promote personal and professional development.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Assist and complete reinsurance pricing exercises
• Analysis and compilation of internal and public data for research and assumption setting purposes
• Run, develop and improve the team’s pricing assumptions, tools, models and processes
• Testing profitability of existing reinsurance treaties
• Data handling and analysis, involving large volumes of data
• Other ad hoc tasks

Skills and Personal Competences:

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Power Point)
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking ability
• Keen interest in Life/Medical insurance or Actuarial Science
• Willingness to explore and experiment in new areas with little prior knowledge
• Proficiency in SEA language (eg. Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian) is an advantage
• Proficiency in any of Python, R, SQL, VBA or Power BI would be an advantage

Required Education:

Pursuing bachelor’s degree or higher in actuarial science, mathematics or other relevant course with a strong interest in Life/Medical insurance industry.
