Provide legal and compliance oversight for a Singapore-established group across multiple jurisdictions, drafting and managing contracts, advising management and the Board on governance and cross-border compliance, liaising with external counsel and regulators, and establishing internal legal frameworks and monitoring processes.
IBMC is assisting its client, a Singapore-established group of companies with multiple international entities, in hiring an experienced Legal professional to oversee all legal and compliance matters across the group.
The role will focus on ensuring that the group’s operations, partnerships, and client contracts meet legal and regulatory standards in Singapore and other relevant offshore jurisdictions, with a strong emphasis on maintaining compliance and governance across all entities.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements across all company entities (clients, partners, vendors, employment, and internal policies).
- Ensure compliance with Singapore, and offshore legal and regulatory requirements, particularly within the trading, fintech, and payment sectors.
- Advise management and the Board on risk mitigation, corporate governance, and cross-border compliance matters.
- Liaise with external legal counsels, regulators, and compliance partners when required.
- Establish internal legal frameworks, documentation standards, and compliance monitoring processes across the Group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent; bar qualification in Singapore is an advantage.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles within trading, brokerage, payment, or financial technology industries.
- In-depth understanding of Singapore and International laws, with working knowledge of offshore corporate structures and compliance.
- Proven experience in drafting and managing a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and advisory skills with the ability to work across multiple international entities.
- Willing to relocate to or already based in Bali, Indonesia.
