KONE is embarking upon an exciting growth and as such we are seeking a Learning & Development Business Partner, Singapore to join our team. The role handles L&D business partnering, learning consultancy, L&D services, as well as deployment & training delivery for field, sales, leadership and apprentice programs both for KONE personnel as well as our subcontractors. This role reports to the Learning & Development Manager, Southeast Asia

What will you be doing?

  • Work closely with cluster/local business leaders and HR colleagues to drive the Frontline Learning & Development agenda.
  • Consult on development needs, supply L&D services and deliver selected training for the cluster/FL.
  • Delivers training and deploys Learning & Development (L&D) services as defined in the cluster annual Training Plan for technical and non-technical competence development.
  • Contributes to deployment of especially sales and leadership trainings and ensures via governance that Field Trainers are deploying field learning solutions.
  • Manages subcontractor training for safety certificates and installation & maintenance method passports. Ensure the mandatory field certifications for safety and methods are in place and valid for all field operatives.
  • Manages and has ownership of apprentice programs.
  • Releases other training campaigns e.g., for safety and follows them through via the Workday LMS or other communication platforms.
  • Contributes to cluster/local LT development together with Unit HR (P&C).
  • Ensure relevant learning offering and L&D operational excellence across the region in alignment with FL, Area and global L&D direction.
  • Manages internal trainer networks across the cluster/local.
  • Manages coaching, mentoring and 360 leadership assessment actions within the local frontline.
  • Communicates and follows through mandatory training reach e.g., compliance, safety, etc.
  • Facilitates and promotes learner centric learning culture, runs campaigns for the local frontline.
  • Focuses on field training discipline, data accuracy and KPIs transparency including improvement suggestions. Local Training Center management including asset management.
  • Acts as a project manager for certain learning projects such as induction renewal.
  • Challenges and consults on learning needs with clearly defined outcomes and timelines by broadening stakeholders’ views on what gets resolved with training and what is something else.
  • Impacts Area and global Learning & Development by explicitly articulating cluster/local learning needs and offering feedback.

Are you the one?

  • Postgraduate qualification in engineering, safety, technical or behavioral science or Minimum of 5 years of experience within Learning & Development, in field/technical context
  • General knowledge in adult education, trainer experience
  • Experience with multinational company and matrix organization
  • Experience with training center management is a plus.
  • Hands-on, able to do groundwork for strategic partnering.
  • Experienced with LMS’s (Learning Management Systems)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Be data centric and drive decisions based on learning analytics.
  • Excellent command of English.
