Title:

Lead Telecommunication Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible as the Lead Engineer for all telecommunications-related engineering activities.

  • Manage and take full responsible for the delivery of the TSI/Telecoms Package.

  • Develop Telecoms Systems Specifications, TSI Scope of Work, and Bill of Materials.

  • Prepare Telecoms systems block diagram sketches.

  • Review telecoms systems studies such as PAGA coverage study, radio coverage study, VSAT link calculation, fiber optic link budget, etc.

  • Prepare requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations of Telecoms Systems.

  • Perform telecoms power consumption, heat dissipation, and weight estimation.

  • Liaise with clients to resolve engineering comments and provide solutions.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines and contractors on systems interfaces.

  • Lead, manage, guide, and mentor the Telecom Team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications).

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in Telecoms Detailed Engineering in the Oil and Gas industry, with at least 8 years of experience in Telecoms Package management.

  • Offshore project experience is preferred

  • Knowledge of international regulations, codes, and standards affecting Telecoms Systems.

  • Knowledge of Telecoms studies and calculations.

  • Proficient in writing Telecoms specifications.

  • Team player who can interact effectively with colleagues from other disciplines, clients, and suppliers.
