Job Title: Lead Consultant (Real-Time Optimization)

The job
Experienced Lead Consultant to spearhead real-time optimization projects for refinery and petrochemical operations using AVEVA™ Process Optimization software. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end implementation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support presales activities. This role requires a strong background in process engineering, simulation tools, and optimization technologies.
Key responsibilities
Project Implementation
Participate in project kick-off and design specification meetings
Lead the preparation of Functional Design Specification (FDS) documents
Configure AVEVA™ Process Optimization applications
Conduct model reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Oversee site commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
Prepare comprehensive project documentation
Training & Support
Deliver user training sessions
Provide ongoing application support (on-site and remote)
Presales Engagement
Collaborate with the sales team to develop technical proposals
Assist in cost estimation and solution scoping
Essential requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 8 years of experience in refinery and petrochemical sector
5+ years of experience in real-time optimization projects
Hands-on experience with process simulators (e.g., PRO/II, HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PetroSIM)
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Willingness to travel up to 40% (domestic and international) during project execution and presales support
Desired skills
Familiarity with refining economics and enterprise-level optimization
Knowledge of Advanced Process Control (APC)
Exposure to enterprise/site-level network architecture
Proficiency in VBA macros
Experience with plant data systems (e.g., OSI PI, Honeywell PHD, LIMS)
