Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst based in Hong Kong to manage system deliveries for Equity Derivatives business ( Projects include: OTC Options project and Prime projects). The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end activities, from requirement gathering to translating those requirements into effective system solutions, and overseeing implementation and deployment. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to collaborate with multiple teams to drive success and manage various projects simultaneously.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs and propose suitable solutions.

  • Translate gathered requirements into detailed specifications and collaborate effectively with developers to deliver appropriate solutions.

  • Document and maintain functional requirements and design specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Define testing strategies and conduct thorough SIT for new features and enhancements, as well as co-ordinate UAT.

  • Communicate changes to impacted business users across various departments, including planning and managing changes in processes, operations, and systems.

  • Identify and escalate risks while proposing both tactical and strategic solutions to mitigate these risks and provide business support.

  • Assist in project coordination and perform administrative tasks as needed to support project progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above in IT/Computing or related studies

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in business analysis within the banking/finance sector

  • Proven experience in delivering system projects successfully

  • Good understanding of derivative products

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess complex situations

  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin is advantage)

  • Good project management skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently

  • Knowledge of Prime brokerage or OTC Options is beneficial but not essential.

  • Past experience with Calypso system is an advantage

  • Familiarity with SQL and other scripting languages is an added advantage
