About The Job

Reporting to the Regional Aftersales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and securing profitable growth with the assigned Singapore key customer accounts in the Ocean Division in line with the South East Asia Sales Company targets and objectives.
In this role, you will be based in Singapore and will manage an assigned key customer relationship, including formulating and driving a specific customer account strategy to encompass the complete long-term relationship between Alfa Laval and the customer.
This role is an individual contributor role and does not have team reporting to the role.

Job Description

  • Responsible for sales, negotiation and monitoring of contracts for marine customers designated as Key Accounts (KA).
  • Work strategically with KA and management of the KA including development & execution of KA Plans by conducting Market and Customer analysis, segment the customers and prioritize to capture potential.
  • Utilize Alfa Laval sales tools to spot and capture business opportunities.
  • Understand the customers’ processes and strive to influence customers’ decision-making process.
  • Add value to KA by supporting customers on their installed based and bring forward solutions to the right stake holders to improve performance of their equipment.
  • Ensure good customer communication throughout the sales process for a Superior Customer Experience.
  • Pro-Actively connect and coordinate internally with Business Unit, sales manager and other team members to secure aligned customer.

What You Know

  • Bachelor’s degree from recognized university, in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or related.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing & managing Key Accounts and at least 5 years of experience in technical sales of products & services in Marine industry.
  • Well-versed with development and execution of sales strategies and has also demonstrated proven track record of over-achievement in your current or previous work capacity.
  • Strong with data analytics, using both offline and online channels to grow sales. 
  • Proactive, service minded, strong in customer care and take quick actions.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong customer focus. You should have the courage to take new initiatives and drive implementation.
  • Additionally, to be successful in this role, knowledge of relevant products e.g. separators, heat exchangers, fresh water generators, boilers &/ or inert gas systems is preferred.
