[Keppel Internship Programme 2025] Intern, Engineering Mechanical (June - Dec 2025)
JOB DESCRIPTION

This role sits within the Infrastructure Division which offers exposure to one or more of the following: industrial safety awareness, attachment to our operating commercial plant(s), and selected commercial functions to appreciate the value chains of our businesses in renewables, clean energy, decarbonisation and environmental infrastructure. This role will also be involved in our application-driven innovation and digitalisation initiatives and programmes.
The intern will be responsible in the following:
• Project Coordination and support in terms of liaising with various stakeholders on information required for the generation of the project's monthly and weekly reports
• Assist the Engineer in charge on the preliminary reviewing, coordination and generation of Engineering documents required in the detailed engineering phase. This would encompass working with BIM modellers on the finalization of pipe supports, generation of General Arrangement drawings, P&IDs, PFDs, etc.
• Assist the Engineering-in-Charge on the closure of comments pertaining to these detailed design documents by liaising with designer, construction team, vendors, and various stakeholders from the consortium
• Design and Engineering: Participation in HAZOP and SIL workshops on selected process equipment. This is an essential aspect on process safety that is required in process industries
• Project Coordination: Liaising with the consortium members on scheduling such as HAZOP sessions and training.
• Assist Design Engineer in design works, which include Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Piping and Instrumentations Diagram (P&ID), design calculation, functional description, design technical specification, estimation and related documents in compliance with tender & code of practice.
• Assist Project Engineer and Package Engineer in managing the equipment package including preparation minutes of meeting, checking on the technical information submitted and compilation of project documents.
• Assist Engineering Office on the engineering management process flow and related work.

• Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Process Control / Environmental Engineering or equivalent
