Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, identifying defects, documenting issues, and ensuring software meets functional and quality requirements before release. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve reported issues.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
- Ensure software quality standards are met before production deployment.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
- Maintain test documentation and update test cases as applications evolve.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- 1–4 years of experience in manual software testing (adjust based on hiring needs).
- Experience in creating test cases, test plans, and test execution reports.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and UAT testing.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Bugzilla).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with API testing using tools such as Postman is an advantage.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
