Functional job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Support technical safety and risk projects by assisting in risk analysis, basic modelling, calculations and preparation of deliverables under supervision.
- Contribute to the development of technical studies such as Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA), risk calculations, safety assessments, ensuring accuracy and quality of work.
- Participate in risk and safety workshops (HAZIDS, HAZOPS, ALARP) as a scribe on contributor, supporting preparation and documentation of outcomes.
- Support the development of technical safety documentation, including hazardous area classification layouts, fire and gas detection philosophies, and other safety-related deliverables.
- Perform data gathering, analysis and research to support design decisions and development of risk reduction measures.
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time, with attention to quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Technical Safety/Process Safety/Safety Engineering or relevant projects.
- Basic understanding of technical risk assessment techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with willingness to learn and apply technical knowledge.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Professional memberships and certifications are advantageous but not required.
