Mission Summary

The ideal candidate will be able to simultaneously act as the face of IT, and provide world-class customer service to our end users and executives. The IT Engineer will support and configure the workstations for Motional’s end users, as well as assist with the automation of various tasks. This role is also responsible for managing and enhancing Motional’s end-user experience by aiding in the continuous improvement of our end-user support process, our endpoint imaging practices, and maintaining departmental hardware across multiple sites.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the face of IT, building rapport across teams and delivering an exceptional, world-class customer service experience both locally and remotely.
  • Creatively problem-solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Properly document and process incident requests to meet SLA requirements, and escalate security, hardware, or software concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor AV and conferencing equipment to ensure maximum availability. Manage IT inventory lifecycle through our internal asset management tools.
  • Master and execute hardware configuration and imaging processes for workstations and laptops using Motional's standardized practices.
  • Learn, document, and continuously improve internal IT processes. Create and maintain clear support documentation for both internal and external consumption.
  • Partner effectively with multiple internal and external teams to facilitate the successful completion of projects and align with departmental OKRs (Objective and Key Results).
  • Utilize a broad familiarity with IT Security best practices to secure the company's IP and help maintain our departmental goal of 99.99% uptime for all IT services.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience supporting desktop systems across multiple operating systems (Windows, Mac, & Linux).
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot a wide array of problems, ranging from basic networking issues to complex workstation anomalies.
  • Solid understanding of IT security practices and their practical application in a corporate environment.
  • Capable of performing the physical duties essential to the role, which includes safely lifting, moving, and deploying IT hardware equipment (such as workstations, monitors, and peripherals) across the office.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively with limited supervision.
  • A thirst for knowledge and a strong desire to learn new information systems and cutting-edge technologies.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with MDM (Mobile Device Management) administration.
  • Familiarity with cellular and mobile device configuration and troubleshooting.
