Role Summary:
Fast-growing IT Project Management Office (PMO) group at GlobalFoundries seeks a personable and highly motivated Program Manager (PM) to support a major technology transformation program in day-to-day project management tasks and activities. Essential Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of multi-phase transition program.
Oversee program/ project timelines, deliverables, and internal/external project resources
Outlining, defining, and initiating the project.
Implementing document control policies and documentation templates.
Maintaining a good working knowledge of assigned component projects.
Evaluating standards of component products.
Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary.
Provide consistent and clear communication between all project stakeholders and report on progress to the Executive Steering Committee
Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems.
Ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies, and other policies.
Other Responsibilities:
Must be comfortable in matrix management environments and work effectively with others in managing complex projects and proven track record of successfully leading teams of consultants through entire project life cycle process
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint)
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Required Qualifications:
Education – bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
7 + years’ experience in program/ project management with a strong track record for on-time and on-budget performance while leading large, complex programs
7+ years' experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Travel - Up to 10%
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and advanced packaging techniques
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is preferred
Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, and hands-on experience with Agile tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA
Master's Degree
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
