Investment Manager / Associate Principal, Digital Economy

Conduct market research and source deals in digital economy sectors; perform commercial and financial due diligence; structure and negotiate investments; support portfolio company value creation and corporate strategy; prepare investment memos and present to the Investment Committee.

Responsibilities
- Market research and deal-sourcing: Research, analyse and synthesize technology and innovation trends (eg. Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity) to identify and originate global investment opportunities to achieve investment mandates; Candidates are required not only to leverage existing channels, but to build their own deal-flow sources.
- Due diligence: Assess commercial viability and conduct due diligence on investment targets, taking into account risk-reward scenarios, as well as strategic and financial considerations; Structure investments and negotiate investment terms, working closely with SGGC’s Legal team. Support the preparation of the investment memo and presentation to Investment Committee.
- Portfolio management: Conduct portfolio management including assessing corporate actions and strategy implementation to grow value, and where applicable, work with SGGC’s Portfolio Growth team to assist on management and talent selection, business development, branding and awareness etc, so as to achieve higher return on investment.
- Corporate strategy and processes: Support senior management in overall corporate strategy and processes.
The Investment Manager / Associate Principal will work closely with and under the guidance of more senior members of the investment team to conduct the following:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and above in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of working experience in the relevant sectors.
- Outstanding candidates without prior investment experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Additional Finance-related qualification such as MBA or CFA would be of significant advantage.
- Excellent relationship management capabilities, communication and presentation skills.
- Team player with strong abilities to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
