What you do

You will be responsible for:

  • Analysing Global Markets financial data - Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Risk Weighted Assets.
  • Monitoring monthly expenses and allocated costs, identifying any discrepancies and providing insights.
  • Assisting with the preparation of critical regulatory reports like Budget, ICAAP and FSI returns.
  • Exploring and potentially implementing data visualization tools (Tableau/Qlikview) to enhance reporting.
  • Supporting ad-hoc data requests and analysis as needed by the team.

Who you work with

OCBC Global Markets encompasses Treasury Advisory and Institutional Sales, Asset Liability Management, Trading, and Business Management. All working together, offering services that enable efficient business operations and enabling customers to focus on growth. You’ll be joining a dynamic team – ambitious, award-winning, and driven. It’s about multi-product solutions that maximise opportunity for everyone, you included.

Who you are

  • Currently pursuing a postgraduate degree.
  • A strong analytical mind with a passion for understanding financial data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel - comfortable with data manipulation and analysis.
  • Eager to explore and learn new data visualisation tools like Tableau or Qlikview.
  • Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

  • Practical experience in financial analysis within a global markets environment.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting processes and requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualisation and business intelligence tools.
  • Development of analytical and problem-solving skills applicable to a range of financial roles.
