Step into the dynamic world of Global Markets and gain hands-on exposure to interest rate markets, trading strategies, and quantitative analytics. As an Intern within the Emerging Markets, Rates & NDF and Global Markets SGD Rates teams, you'll work alongside traders and quantitative professionals to analyse market opportunities, enhance trading tools, and support decision-making across rates and foreign exchange markets. You'll have the opportunity to develop your technical, analytical, and financial market knowledge while contributing to initiatives that directly support trading desk activities.

You'll work closely with traders and front office quants to develop models, analyse market data, and automate processes that improve trading efficiency. What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Quantitative Analysis: develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools that support trading decisions and market analysis
• Market Research: compile, analyse, and model historical market data to identify trading opportunities and evaluate potential strategies
• Data Automation: develop Python-based solutions to collect, process, and analyse market data from platforms such as Bloomberg
• Trading Desk Support: assist with the preparation of daily cashflow, risk, and performance reports to support business monitoring and risk management activities
• Financial Modelling: support the enhancement and maintenance of spreadsheets, pricing tools, and analytics models used by the trading desk
• Trading Strategy Development: work with traders to research, evaluate, and back-test market ideas using quantitative and data-driven approaches
• Technology & Process Improvement: collaborate with front office quants and traders to enhance the desk's interest rate pricers, live P&L reporting tools, and other business applications
• Data Analytics & Reporting: analyse large datasets and present insights that support trading, portfolio management, and strategic decision-making
• Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on strategic initiatives, automation projects, and process improvement efforts as assigned

Who You Work With

The Emerging Markets, Rates & NDF and Global Markets SGD Rates teams manage trading activities across interest rate and foreign exchange markets. You'll work alongside experienced traders, quantitative analysts, and market professionals who closely monitor global market developments and execute strategies across regional and international markets. Through this role, you'll gain valuable exposure to trading, risk management, quantitative analysis, and the application of technology within a leading financial institution.
