What you do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting daily data analytics operations within the Digital Markets team.
  • Developing and maintaining interactive BI dashboards and applications using Power BI, Tableau and Python.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data visualizations and deliver actionable insights.
  • Contributing to the OSPL (OCBC Securities) Data Analytics transformation project – from data exploration to dashboard deployment.
  • Gathering user requirements and designing data-driven solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Automating data tasks and improving data management processes using Python, macros, or Power Automate.

Who you are

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business/Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Possess a working knowledge of data analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Proficient in programming languages, particularly Python.
  • Have a foundational understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL.
  • Eager to learn and apply automation tools like Power Automate or Excel macros.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and possess a strong work ethic.

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

  • Hands-on experience across the full data analytics lifecycle - from requirements gathering to data visualization.
  • Exposure to diverse data domains within global markets, including trading and securities.
  • Development of skills in data collection, processing, interpretation, and automation.
  • A deep understanding of cross-functional business operations within a leading financial institution
