Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

Function Overview

Works with and supports the TS sales teams in the organisation’s network to advise on complex transactions and with the structuring of WCS, SCF and receivables solutions in Trade. Develops, positions and promotes a selected number of ‘themes’ in the Trade domain that will set the organization apart from competitors.

What would you be doing?

As part of TS APAC growth plans, we require an intern to:

  • conduct sector-based research in APAC where new trends would require trade specific solutions - examples: Infrastructure-as-a-Service in data centre outsourcing, Wind/renewable projects with long-term deferred payment terms.

  • conduct research for Asia-Europe trade corridors (outbound trade facilities/programs with Asian clients), particularly in Eastern Europe.

  • conduct deep dive into financial performance of TS APAC - by country, sector, product types to determine gaps and growth potential.

  • assist TS Sales or WCS team in deal-specific assignments.

What do we ask of you? (Skills & Specifications)

  • You should have legal work rights in the country of internship

  • Major in Finance/accounting streams

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Should have sufficient knowledge of MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word

  • Good time management and adaptability
