Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

Function Overview

We have an internship opening in the following department.

ING Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be working with Business Management and also have rotation within Trading and Sales. There will be some documentation of Trading Desk Procedures with opportunity to learn how the trading aspects in a dealing room environment. Interns will also assist in developing spreadsheet tools to generate Term sheets and assist in producing Sales pitch book using existing marketing material.

What do we ask of you? (Skills & Specifications)

  • Undergraduate in an economic, finance or science/mathematical discipline

  • Previous banking internships would be an advantage

  • Highly skilled in Excel Spreadsheets, working with macros is preferred

  • Powerpoint skills to produce marketing and sales pitch books

  • Fluent in spoken and written English;

  • Detail oriented, systematic and strong analytical skills
