Project Title:
Data-Driven Optimization of Die Attach Manufacturing Performance
Project Description:
This project focuses on improving the understanding and performance of the Die Attach process within semiconductor manufacturing. The intern will analyze process and equipment data to identify trends, variability drivers, and opportunities for optimization.
The project will explore the application of data analytics and AI techniques to enhance process visibility, detect anomalies, and support data-driven decision-making in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Objective of the Project:
  • Identify key factors influencing Die Attach process performance (e.g., yield, cycle time)
  • Develop insights into process trends and variability
  • Apply analytics or AI techniques to detect anomalies or optimization opportunities
  • Propose improvement recommendations based on data analysis

Project Scope / Learning Opportunities:
  • Gain understanding of Die Attach process and semiconductor manufacturing flow
  • Perform data analysis and visualization on manufacturing datasets
  • Apply statistical methods and/or machine learning techniques
  • Develop dashboards or tools to monitor key process indicators
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret findings

Deliverables:
  • Data analysis report on process performance trends
  • Visualization dashboard for selected KPIs
  • Prototype model for anomaly detection or trend analysis (if applicable)
  • Final presentation with recommendations and potential impact

Skillsets Required:

Course of Interest:
Minimum a NITEC/DIploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics), Data Science or Computer Engineering
Duration:
Minimum 4 months
