ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Intern, IT Operations to help with the day-to-day IT support and the management of the life cycle of the laboratory computer system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day-to-day IT support to users by attending to IT issues and requests submitted through the IT helpdesk ticketing system
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Assist with the lifecycle management of computers used in the laboratory, ensuring that all computers are accounted for and have the appropriate software updates, controls, and protection in place
- Build and configure laptops according to company standards
- Maintain IT assets and assist with technology refreshes and disposal
- Update documentation and procedures
- Perform any other tasks as assigned
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Currently pursuing a Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Computing or a related field
- Basic knowledge of the Windows operating system
- Comfortable handling computer hardware
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Independent and resourceful
