ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Intern, IT Operations to help with the day-to-day IT support and the management of the life cycle of the laboratory computer system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to users by attending to IT issues and requests submitted through the IT helpdesk ticketing system
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Assist with the lifecycle management of computers used in the laboratory, ensuring that all computers are accounted for and have the appropriate software updates, controls, and protection in place
  • Build and configure laptops according to company standards
  • Maintain IT assets and assist with technology refreshes and disposal
  • Update documentation and procedures
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Currently pursuing a Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Computing or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of the Windows operating system
  • Comfortable handling computer hardware
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent and resourceful
