Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic and growing regions of the world for Boeing.

Boeing Southeast Asia is seeking an Intern (Government Relations / Business Operations) to be based in our Singapore office. As an intern at Boeing, you will assist the President for the Southeast Asia region in operational and strategic management, including business missions and stakeholder engagement, working out of the Boeing corporate office in Singapore.

S/he will be responsible for contributing as a member of the team to implementation, support and management of Boeing Southeast Asia meetings, plans, strategy, programs and projects as well as cross-functional and cross-business unit coordination.

In fulfilling the role’s responsibilities, the intern will interface with a variety of U.S.- and Southeast Asia- based colleagues from across the Boeing enterprise as well as key stakeholders in other companies, organizations, embassies and governments.

Specifically, the role will assist the team to:

  • Support the Boeing Global SE Asia team, working closely with our country teams and the government relations head for SE Asia.

  • Arrange and provide support internal and external meetings, including through the preparation of briefing materials and note-taking.

  • Track and follow-up on key initiatives as well as after-action from internal and external meetings.

  • Develop recommendations on external engagement strategies and opportunities and engage closely with business associations where Boeing is a member (US-ASEAN Business Council, AmChams), including helping to prepare for business missions to SE Asian markets.

  • Other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Ability to work full-time for approximately 2 to 3 months during the calendar year

  • Currently majoring in one of following Business Administration/Management, International Relations, Communications, Public Policy/Government Relations, Politics and Economic.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above)

  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations

  • Strong organizational and stakeholder engagement skills and a knowledge of the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of SE Asian Nations (ASEAN)

  • Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to aerospace and a career with Boeing.

Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

  • This requisition is for a locally hired credit-bearing internship. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work in Singapore. Boeing will not seek immigration and labor sponsorship for any applicants.

  • Benefits and pay are determined in line with Singapore labor market practices. This is not an expat assignment.
